switch which became ping pong was the brainchild of cambridge based dj kye. after success behind the decks kye turned his attention to promotion. ping pong was a mish-mash of drum & bass, jungle, hip hop, breaks, electro, beat box and more, with the variety of beats and bass lines "ping-ponging" around the sticky walls of the junction, cambridge. after many successful nights kye moved ping pong to the second room at the legendary warning.
ping pong djs have included: scratch perverts, killa kela & spit kingdom, pendulum, jungle drummer, adam f, rodney p, mampi swift, zinc, chase & status to name but a few...
kye's vision was not only audio but visual too, hence the enlistment of scratchvideo as the resident installation artist. using stock and original footage sourced from diverse and visually stunning material mixed using traditional and hi-tech video effects in a montage of pre-production and live creativity, scratch video projected imagery on up to 4 screens positioned around the stage and its performers over 2 floors. sights reflected the sounds and added visual suspense and atmosphere to the already chaotic party. ping pong continues to draw the crowds upstairs at warning every other month...
